Description and Holding Information
Turner, Lincoln's Inn, 1903
Pamphlet entitled "Lincoln's Inn," by G. J. Turner and published in London in 1903. The thesis of this document was to demonstrate that the recently
published account of the history of the site of the the Inn, by W. P. Baildon, was not accurate; that the site was the Inn of the earls of Lincoln as
demonstrated by some new evidence found by Turner. At the beginning of this article, however, "C.W.R." stated that Turner wrote a subsequent
article, "The Origins of Lincoln's Inn" in the Athenaeum in 1906, and claimed that the views were markedly different from this document. A typewritten first
paragraph and photostat copy of this latter article was attached to the pamphlet (although difficult to read).
