(An explanation of the principles of martial law and the duties of a Judge Advocate. The author expands on Stephen Adye’s Treatise on Courts Martial (1769) and covers the actual proceedings of a court martial which Adye does not discuss. This edition was issued anonymously but is attributed to Richard Sullivan, the author of the second edition.)
