Pecuniary Claims Arbitration: Award in the Matter of Claim No. 20, Schooner “Lord Nelson ”: 4 p., Place of publication and publisher not
identified, 1914. (The decision in a case involving the capture of a British schooner, the Lord Nelson, on June 5, 1812 by U.S. naval authorities two weeks
before the declaration of war between Great Britain and the United States. The Tribunal points to the principle in international law that the amount of
indemnity awarded for wrongful possession and use must represent both the value of the property taken and the value of its use. The U.S. was ordered to
pay Great Britain $5,000 with 4% interest from February 3, 1819 to April 26, 1912.)
