Compiled by James H. Deering. Published by Bancroft-Whitney Co. (San Francisco 1897). xi+1035 p. The Civil Code is arranged in four divisions: I, Relating to Persons; II, Relating to Property; III, Relating to Obligations; and IV, General Provisions Relating to the Preceding Provisions. The Code is followed by an Appendix printing the text of subsequently passed statutes, arranged by alphabetical topics; and a general index to section numbers.
