therein: ed. by Jno. Garland Pollard, lvi+1273, Richmond, Everett Waddey Co., 1922. (John Garland Pollard authored an unofficial Virginia Code in 1904 and
followed that up with “biennial” updates covering 1904/06, 1906/08, 1906/10, 1912, 1914, 1912/16, 1918 and 1920 {ed. by another under Pollard’s
auspices}. Although it doesn’t employ the term “Biennial,” the present work follows in the “Pollard’s Biennials” tradition, but, rather than being an update
of Pollard’s 1904 Code, is an update of the official 1919 Code.)
