ed. by L. Wallerstein, xlv+900p, Richmond, Everett Waddey Co., 1920. (John Garland Pollard authored an unofficial Virginia Code in 1904 and followed
that up with “biennial” updates covering 1904/06, 1906/08, 1906/10, 1912, 1914, 1912/16, & 1918. The present work departs from that tradition in two
respects. One, it is not an update of Pollard’s 1904 Code, but rather an update of the official 1919 Code. Second, this work was not edited by Pollard
himself, since in 1920 he was occupied serving as a member of the Federal Trade Commission. However, this work by Wallerstein went out under Pollard’s
auspices and he retained the copyright.)
