From the Preface: "Continue[s] the minutes of the Executive Department published in the sixteen volumes of the Colonial records ... includes the
miscellaneous acts of the executive, among which are accounts approved, appointments, commissions issued, incorporations, rolls of the officers of the
militia, opinions of the attorneys general, licenses granted, pardons, proclamations, and decisions regulating roads and rivers. The original manuscript
books from which the records are taken are in the Archives Division of the State Library."
