Records, in 16 volumes (pp. 1-433); and the Pennsylvania Archives, in 12 volumes (pp. 437-653). (At time of writeup, the set contained vols. 1-11 and
the Index, but not vol. 12.) Vols. 1-11 have separate indexes. The set provides Pennsylvania government and Congressional documents and
correspondence, focusing on the period before and during the Revolutionary War, and the early period of the United States government. A preface in index volume
explains the difference between the Colonial Records and the Pennsylvania Archives, and the two indexes.
