House No. 23 On February 4, 1841, the Governor forwarded communications from New York, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania on the revenue from the sale of public lands. All three states wanted the lands to be sold for at least $1.25/acre and wanted the revenue divided among the states, not used for government expenses.
