1833, Aikin’s Digest of Alabama Laws
A digest of the laws of the State of Alabama which contained public and general statutes in force at the close of the session of the General Assembly
in January 1833. Included were an introduction, margin summary notes, appendix, and a copious index; compiled by John G. Aikin, and published in
Philadelphia, Alexander Towar in 1833. Of note, all the laws not in force have been discarded unless necessary to an understanding of laws in force in
1833. A list of the statutes were arranged chronologically with numbers beginning on p. 3 and an index starts on p. 461). (Copy 2, which were part of
the Early State Records collection, was digitized from a microfilm copy of titles originally held by the Library of Congress).

Aikin.
