Acting Fund Commissioner. Special report to the Senate, 1843
|
|
Doc. No. 14 Special report of the Acting Fund Commissioner in reply to a resolution of the Senate. December 20, 1843. the Senate wanted to know, via seven questions, if the new Canal Fund Commissioners had examined the books of the former Commissioners. The Senate was looking for evidence of wrong doing. The Acting Commissioner said the Commission had been very busy and had not examined the books, although it did plan to. In the meantime, he answered the questions as best he could. There was certainly a lot of money involved.
