1854 Senate bill to incorporate the French Board Railroad Company along the French Broad valley across the Western part of the state to establish a
direct connection between one of said roads in South Carolina and the East Tennessee and Virginia Railroad, in East Tennessee. The bill provided for
the subscription procedure, as well as all corporate matters, powers and duties. Also included were provisions for compensation for land used to
