|
|
1850 House Committee Report and Resolutions of the Minority or the Committee on Negro Slavery. The minority supported the resolution of the majority, but stated in an additional resolution that North Carolina could succeed from the Union whenever the majority of its people agreed in convention that the federal government failed in its constitutional duties to the state. See LLMC #21683 for an identical Senate report; see also #21676, 21680 and 21720 for related documents. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of titles originally held by the Library of Congress).
