Joint Comm. on Holding Sessions outside of Raleigh. Report, 1831
1831 Report of the Joint Committee of the North Carolina General Assembly on the legality of the assembly holding its session outside the city
limits of Raleigh. The committee concluded it would constitutionally meet and legislate. Of note, the fire of 1831 had destroyed the State House used by
