1850 House Resolutions on the slavery question which stated that non-enforcement of the Fugitive Slavery Act by free states would be "conclusive evidence" that the Northern states wished to dissolve the Union. These resolutions were sent to all the governors in the Union. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of titles originally held by the Library of Congress).
