A short book by Daniel Defoe (1661?-1731) entitled "Party-tyranny; or, An occasional bill in miniature as now practiced in Carolina." Defoe wrote a
treatise on behalf of the religious dissenters and identified "Party-tyranny" with " High-Church-tyranny", and asked that Parliament protect the
English subjects from all manner of Printed in London in 1705. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of titles originally held by the Henry E. Huntington
Library in San Marino, California).
