May 1665 Broadside by Richard Nicolls (1624 -1672), delineating the terms of purchase for planters. Nicholls, who was the first English Governor of
the New York Province, specified that purchasers were freed from assessments for five years, but were required to pay public taxes thereafter. In
addition, they were required to create townships according to the stated procedures (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by: New
