Description and Holding Information
1788, New York Con. Conv. Journal
Journal of the proceedings of the convention of the state of New York, to ratify the proposed Constitution of the United States. The convention was
help in Poughkeepsie and begun on June 17, 1788. The journal was printed by Nicholas Power in Poughkeepsie (undated). The proposed Constitution was
included in the journal, beginning on page 9. On the final page of the journal, is a note stated that the ratified constitution, with explanatory
amendments began on page 71. The recommended amendments began on page 78, and ended with the words "by order of the Convention," on page 82. (Source of
