The Revised Laws of the State of New Hampshire. Published in three volumes by xxx (1941). At time of writeup, volumes 1 (Constitution of New
Hampshire and Titles I - XX) and 2 (Titles XXI – XXXIX, with Title XL, Acts Repealed, and a General Index) were available. The preface in Volume I (dated Dec.
31, 1941) explains that chapter 193 of the Laws of 1941 directs the publication of legislation in general terms, and “it is the understanding of the
commissioners that the authorized publication, as in the case of former revisions, was not intended to include private acts and joint resolutions or
acts or parts of acts relating to present emergencies or temporary situations, to details of state finance, or to particular places or enterprises.”
Thus, numerous provisions of the Laws of 1941 are not printed in these volumes. An unnumbered volume 3 was also issued as a stand alone index. It
duplicates the index at the end of volume 2.
