August 13, 1777 resolutions and order from the General Assembly and governor of Connecticut, which ordered two battalions of 738 men to join the
Continental Army in the Northern Department. The resolutions delineated the process of procuring needed men, as well as the pay and supplies they would

Title:   At a General Assembly of the governor and Company of the state of Connecticut : holden at Hartford, by special order of His Excellency the governor, on the 13th day, of August A.D. 1777 : Resolved by this Assembly, that two battalions ... of the militia of this state be ordered to march ... and assist the Continental Army in the Northern department.
