May 18, 1772 broadside issued by Gov. Jonathan Trumbull of Connecticut in Hartford, which extended the embargo of a variety of grains grown in the
colony from May 20th to July 15th. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the New York Historical Society Library).

I ... hereby strictly prohibit and forbid the transporting, or shipping on board any vessel for transportation out of this colony, wheat, Indian corn ...
