Attorney General. Reports, 1860-
|
|
Official reports of the Attorney General of Minnesota: annual 1860-80, biennial, 1881/82 thru 1959/60, Saint Paul, state printer, 1861-1961, all published. (Although attorneys general had been appointed earlier by the Governor with sanction from the Territorial Legislature, it was only the 1858 statehood Constitution which established the Office of Attorney General. Publication of the reports began in 1860 and became mandated by statute in 1865. Publication was annual through 1880 and biennial from 1881/82 through 1959/60, when the separate reports series ended. There is no record of reports covering late 1960 through the first half of 1967. A separate title, Selected Opinions of the Attorney General, publication date 30 Sept. 1968, contained a report for 1967/68 and selected opinions from 1960-68. LLMC has not yet located a scanable copy of that title. Finally, A.G. reports subsequent to late 1968 were published as a part of a looseleaf-format publication Minnesota Legal Register. For the Minnesota A.G. Opinions, see the separate Opinions series elsewhere on this site and also the separate retrospective publication covering the years 1858-1883.)
