House No. 10 On January 12, 1831, the clerk was directed to print 700 copies of the 1830 census. It was arranged by county; towns within each county were listed as well. Worcester County had the most people, followed by Essex County. Dukes County had the fewest people. The last page was a recapitulation page; the total population of the state in 1830 was 610,014. Ordered, that the clerk of this House be authorised to procure a certified copy of the last census of this Commonwealth, and cause seven hundred copies thereof to be printed for the use of the members of this House.
