1853 Report of Attorney General Brent to the governor regarding the Christiana treason trials in the Philadelphia Circuit Court, which originated in the murder of Edward Gorsuch of Maryland, who was involved in returning a fugitive slave. The report indicated that there was much favoritism of persons and actions against conviction. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of titles originally held by the Library of Congress).
