Forty-fifth Legislature. House. No. 8. The Committee on the Judiciary offered: An Act in relation to the rules of evidence in addition to "an act
to amend section eighty-three of chapter eighty-two of the Revised Statutes relating to proceedings in court" approved March fifteenth, eighteen
hundred and sixty-two, 1866. An executor or administrator could offer to testify as to certain facts, but the adverse party could not be excluded from
testifying on those facts. Forty-fifth Legislature. House. No. 10. The Committee on the Judiciary offered a second version, but the difference is not
