February twentieth, eighteen hundred sixty-four, 1864. If a town overfills its enlistment quota, the overage will count for the next draft. Those
mustered into service after February 1, 1864 as part of a quota, were entitled to a $300 bounty. There were other rules about towns and quotas. A man who
enlisted for coast or frontier service only received a $200 bounty if called to serve out of state. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title
