eighteen hundred sixty-four, 1864. The act laid down the rules for paying soldiers the state bounty of $300, taking into account each town's three
draft quotas. Men who enlisted in the coastal or frontier defenses only received $200 if they were ordered to serve out of state. (Digitized from a
