Fortieth Legislature. Extra Session. Senate. No. 1. An Act additional to chapter ten of the Revised Statutes relating to the militia, 1861. The
text included language about being mustered into service of the United States. Men over forty-five could serve to defend the state. The act repealed
the exemption held by those who had previously served in the Army or Navy, so they were liable for service. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title
