Senate. Comm. on the Judiciary. Act abating nuisances, 1860
|
|
Thirty-ninth Legislature. Senate. No. 13. The Committee on the Judiciary submitted: An Act abating nuisances, 1860. A municipality could flag a building, etc. as a nuisance. A hearing would verify or reject that flag and the owner would be notified of necessary actions. He had five days to appeal the notice. If there was no timely response, the municipality could demolish or repair the building at the owner's expense. There were directions for a court proceeding if the owner called for it. Local municipalities had to approve the bill for it to have effect in that location. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Library of Congress).
