|
|
Thirty-seventh Legislature. House. No. 17 An Act to provide for enforcing liens on vessels, 1858. If a person had a lien on a new vessel, such lien had to be filed within four days of launch. Liens could be for work on the vessel, equipment
or repairs, but there had to be documentation of the same. There was a form for a writ and for a service document. A boat owner had to give a bond for court costs. There were rules for costs, judgments, pay-outs, and attachments. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Library of Congress).
