Thirty-seventh Legislature. House. No. 15 An Act for the suppression of certain common nuisances, 1858. Any building used for prostitution, gambling, or illegal liquor sales was declared a common nuisance. If a tenant used all or part of a building for those purposes, his lease was void and he could be evicted immediately.
