Thirty-sixth Legislature. House. No. 47. An Act providing for the foreclosure of certain mortgages given to secure payment of bonds and coupons
given by railroad corporations, 1857. The act gave directions for bond and mortgage holders to try to get their money. One option was for a group of
bondholders to run a railroad themselves for the purpose of paying down debt, not making money for shareholders. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of
