Index of court cases, ca. 1845-1893; Cases heard by the Circuit and Supreme courts during the Hawaiian monarchy: Jane Silverman, Project Director,
Vol. 1-3, Honolulu, Hawaii State Judiciary, 1981. (Includes indexes for: V.1, civil cases; V.2, criminal cases; and V.3 divorce cases & remarriage
petitions. Circuits included are the First through Fourth. This work was part of a project funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities to the
Hawaii State Judiciary styled “The Social Role of the Courts in the Hawaiian Monarchy.” The bulk of the text consists of computer printout. A 14-page
summary of the project, its goals and methodology, and the more significant research findings is provided at the front of V.1. All of the case files and
minute books for the cases covered are held in the Hawaii State Archives.)
