determined in the Circuit Court: by Edward H. Daveis, viii+443p., Portland, Printed by Thurston & Co., 1849. (This volume contains a selection of cases
from the Federal District Court principally dealing with admiralty law decided by Federal District Judge Ashur Ware between 1839 and 1849. Judge
Ware was regarded as an expert in admiralty law. This volume was also issued as Vol. 2 of a 3 volume set published in 1856. A Table of Cases (p.v) and a
subject index (p.441) are included.
