( The first attempt in English since Bentham to address the principles of judicial proof as a whole. The book is intended for the law student, but may be helpful to the practitioner. Parts I and II are intended as a drill and Part III ( Problems in masses of evidence) as the test. Chapters cover circumstantial evidence, testimonial evidence, and problems of proof in mixed evidence. A list of trials useful for study and an index of topics are located at the end of the volume.)
