|
The Civil Law in America; An historical outline—its place in the legal curriculum—not only the basis of Modern Equity Jurisprudence, but also the substantial substratum of our whole body of law—its present importance and its prospective value to the American lawyer: by Charles F. Beach, 24p, Paris, A. Pedone, 1912. (Lacks TOC & index. This address was delivered at the St. Paul College of Law, which was one of the predecessors to the William Mitchell School of Law. The later was established in 1956 when St. Paul’s College of Law merged with a competitor, the Minneapolis-Minnesota College of Law. The present school adopted the name of William Mitchell to honor one of the finest jurists of the 19th century and in recognition of the fact that Mitchell had been slated to be, but had been prevented by premature death from becoming, the first dean of St. Paul’s. The print text of this title was scanned from Lincoln’s Inn Library pamphlet volume LP 258.)
