John Penn of Stoke's Letterbook from 1804 to 1832. Of note, he was a cousin of the last Penn governor of Pennsylvania, but lived at Stoke, the family estate in England. After the Revolutionary War, John Penn of Stokes received settlements from the loss of lands in Pennsylvania from both Parliament and the United States.
