A copy of the March 1735/6 petition of the President, Council, the Speaker and some of the members of the House of Assembly of New Jersey to the king, requesting a separate governor following the death of Gov. Cosby. A copy was given to the the Secretary of State and another filed at the Council Office on May 11, 1735/6.
