House. Comm. on Elections. Cyr-Page contested election, 1866
Forty-fifth Legislature. House. No. 57. The Committee on Elections considered the challenge of Alexis Cyr to David Page. The returns showed 69 for
Page and 191 for Cyr, but, inexplicably, the Governor awarded the seat to Page. A recent Constitutional amendment had made the Governor the arbiter
of elections, but the Committee still submitted a resolve in favor of Cyr's election to the House. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title
