Forty-fifth Legislature. House. No. 38. The Committee on Agriculture submitted: An Act to regulate the draining of salt marsh, 1866. All
partition ditches were supervised by the fence viewers of any jurisdiction. Each party had to maintain his ditches; if there were problems between parties,
the fence viewers would adjudicate. There were directions for marsh land laid in common. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held
