Forty-fourth Legislature. House. No. 28. Four men, a minority on the Committee on the Judiciary, proposed an amendment to the State Constitution.
Any military deserter or draft evader would lose his right to hold public office or vote. There were directions for bringing it to a vote of the
people. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Maine Historical Society Library, the Maine State Library, and the Library of
Congress).
