SEE ALSO 56438 Forty-third Legislature. Senate. No. 25. Amendment proposed by Mr. Spring to bill "An Act in addition to section seven of chapter
one hundred thirty-five of Revised Statutes in reference to proceedings in capital cases" [1864] The warrant mentioned in section seven should be
issued immediately after the expiration of the year [that the prisoner spent in solitary confinement?] unless the Governor and the Council think it should
be stayed. If so, they must determine if the prisoner remains in solitary or moves into the regular prison. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of
