SEE ALSO 56352, 56362 Forty-second Legislature. Senate. No. 6. Report of the Committee on Scientific Survey. There was a history of the survey;
the Committee noted the workers were underpaid or not paid at all. Maine was a big wild place, so that added considerable difficulties to the work.
They listed some of the geological finds and noted the public was much in favor of the enterprise. They recommended an appropriation of $4,000.
