SEE ALSO 56265 Fortieth Legislature. Senate. No. 6. An Act relating to the State Library, 1861. The library was now to be managed by the
Governor and Council, who would appoint a State Librarian. The act gave directions for book selection and spending, who could borrow and for how long.
The
Librarian was to report to the Legislature every January with a list of new acquisitions. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held
