Thirty-ninth Legislature. Senate. No. 14. The Joint Standing Committee on Railroads, Ways, and Bridges submitted: An Act to incorporate the
Lewiston Branch Railroad, 1860. Twenty-two men were incorporated as the Lewiston Branch Railroad Company with the usual rights and responsibilities.
The Company was to construct a railroad from Lewiston Falls to connect with the Atlantic and Saint Lawrence Railroad on a broadly sketched route. When
the Company had raised $50,000, it could begin work. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Library of Congress).
