|
|
Thirty-seventh Legislature. House. No. 30. An Act additional to chapter one hundred and thirty-six of the Revised Statutes, for the collection and disposal of fines and costs in criminal cases, 1858. Every Justice of the Peace or municipal court judge had to keep a docket with the details of each case, especially the fines and costs. A copy went to the County Commissioners at the end of each term. Judges could not receive their share of fines and costs until all other claimants had been paid. Each County Attorney was to make a similar report in November each year. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Library of Congress).
