Thirty-sixth Legislature. House. No. 14. An Act to amend chapter eighteenth of the Revised Statutes, entitled "of parishes and ministerial lands,"
1857. Anyone in good standing in a parish, pew owner or not, could attend meetings and vote on assessments. A pew owner could sell his pew; the
procedure was included. Any male, 21 or over, could establish a parish residence and participate in parish affairs. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of
