1739, Continuation of the Abridgment of all the public acts of Virginia
a Continuation of the Abridgement of the Public Acts of the Assembly of Virginia, in force and use, together with sundry precedents, adapted thereto,
and proper tables. This collection was compiled by John Mercer and printed in 1739 in Williamsburg and was a follow-up to LLMC #22397. Of note, a
preface explained the new additions of law, as well as changes from the prior edition for the convenience of his readers. Also included was a table of
contents of the acts, which listed the heading under which they were placed, as well as the session that they were passed; directions for altering and
amending the table in the former Abridgement was found at the end of this volume. The page numbers continued from the end of the first abridgment.
See LLMC #22397 and 22301 for related documents. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the New York Public Library).
