House No. 76 In March, 1834, the citizens of Boston presented a memorial asking that banks be prevented from borrowing money, but if that was too onerous, banks could only borrow a small percentage of their capital and had to pay interest on the loan. There were three pages of signatures. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Massachusetts State Library).
