1769 pamphlet by a "Freeholder of South Carolina" regarding a inquiry of the nature of dependency of the colonies upon the Parliament and the right
of the Parliament to tax the colonies. The author extensively discussed the primary question of whether the colonies have representation in Parliament
when taxed by that government and suggested that the American grievances should be seriously considered by Britain. (Digitized from a microfilm copy
